Inglewood SignThe Village of Inglewood, Ontario is one of Caledon's most dynamic villages, which draws people from around the area. For a small community, Inglewood has many amenities including an indoor arena and The Riverdale Fitness Mill. It also has a very active community group (Village of Inglewood Association - VIA) that organized Inglewood-Stock in 2008, to raise money for Bethell House, a hospice that calls Inglewood home.

Living in Inglewood is very convenient for commuters as it is one line west of Hwy 10 (Hurontario), and just north of Olde Baseline Road. Inglewood is about 10 minutes from Brampton and less than 1/2 hour Pearson International Airport.

Real estate in Inglewood sold between approximately $350,000 and $1,000,000 during South Slopes of Riverdale - True to Inglewood's Heritage Stylethe past year with the average price being just shy of $660,000. In the village core, you will find quaint century homes, many that have been updated and renovated while keeping their charm. Over the last 35 years, houses have been built on the north and northwest side of Inglewood with properties ranging from just under an acre to around 3 acres. Depending on the age, upkeep and updating, these homes are selling for $500,000 to $1,000,000. The real estate along Ingleview Drive was developed about 30 years ago and is just outside the village borders. The exceptional escarpment views from the west side properties command well over $1,000,000 - and are worth every penny! Back in the village, The South Slopes of Riverdale was developed about 7 years ago. This pocket of homes, honours the heritage styling of the original Inglewood houses and range in price from approximately $550,000 to $900,000.

As part of the agreement to develop The South Slopes of Riverdale, Inglewood is now in the process of having a community sewage system installed.

Children in the Inglewood area are bused to The Belfountain Public School for Kindergarten to Grade 6; they go to Caledon Central in Caledon Village for Grades 7 & 8 and then go to Mayfield Secondary School for Grades 9-12. Herb Campbell Public School is close-by and offer French Immersion for Grades 1-8, with the option to go to Bolton or Brampton for high school French Immersion classes.

St. Cornelius and Robert F. Hall are within the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board and offer Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 at their Caledon East location.

Farmers' Market 2010The Inglewood General Store is the heart of Inglewood. Its proprietor, Roxanne Mountain, is a true entrepreneur; every year, Roxanne comes up with new ideas to bring the locals together on the store's expansive lawn - an outdoor jam (music) session, weekly organic farmers' market, garage sales and of course, The Credit Valley Explorer Train tours.... And more!

Caledon Hills Cycle Shop can be found in Inglewood; it is also home to the Caledon Hills Cycle Club and Nordic Ski Centre. Mountain-biking enthusiasts, from beginner to expert, meet throughout the week to conquer the trails and hills of Caledon in the summer and go on extensive Caledon hikes in the winter.

Joe the Tennessee Walking Horse & FriendsFamilies that call Inglewood home, enjoy hockey & skating at The Lloyd Wilson Arena with a parkette and baseball diamonds on its grounds. There is a community centre with library and tennis courts that is also home to The Inglewood Schoolhouse performers - an amateur theatre group that invites old and young to come participate as an actor or behind-the-scenes help.

Like so many Caledon villages, recreational pursuits are easy in Inglewood. The Caledon Trail runs through the village, as does the Credit River. The trail is used for hiking, cycling, horseback riding, cross country skiing, bird watching and anything else that does not include a motorized vehicle. The trail is 35 km long and is accessible year round. There is excellent fishing along the Credit River, but you will also find people canoeing, kayaking and "tubing" down the river. On hot sunny days, it is not unusual to see small and large groups of people floating down the river on inner tubes!

The Caledon Golf & Country Club is on the edge of Inglewood. It is a public golf course with restaurant and banquet facilities as well as an outdoor swimming pool. The Caledon Hills are a beautiful backdrop for a day on the golf course!
