BELFOUNTAIN REAL ESTATE
Properties right in the Village of Belfountain each have their own unique character as many were built early in the 1900's. Because this was a railroad town, and also because of the steep hills and deep ravines, real estate was more carefully allocated than in the sprawling farming villages to the south of Belfountain. The village gems start around $500,000 with estate properties and farms escalating into the $4-5 million dollar range.

Caledon Mountain Estates, which is on the south side of Belfountain offers a unique, super-natural experience as it is part of the Niagara Escarpment Protection Area. These 2-5 acre properties were approved for development in the 1970's and most would never have been allowed in today's conservation-conscious environment. The homes that overlook the 1500 foot drop into the Niagara Escarpment offer exceptionally breathtaking views where I have seen eagles gliding - at eye level! It is an experience never to be forgotten!
A birds-eye view of the area would reveal houses propped on top of ledges and at the bottom of valleys on roads that most don't even know exist. It is hard to believe all this is available only one hour from Toronto!
Many of the people who do live in Belfountain, also work here. It is a thriving community that offers locals and guests shopping, eating, entertainment & recreational indulgence.
Belfountain is also home to the Caledon Ski Club; a private club with an awesome lodge. Private homes bordering the Caledon Ski Club carry the chalet theme and, once in awhile, do come up for sale.
The Credit River, The Belfountain Conservation Area and The Bruce Trail bring further natural beauty and recreational opportunities to the area. Fishing is a favourite pastime as is hiking and exploring along one of the many trails.
Belfountain has its own public elementary school that goes up to Grade 6.
